The lightning protection design is determined according to the type of lightning strike and the lightning protection level of the building. The lightning protection includes building, electrical equipment and line protection; the grounding system includes lightning protection grounding, equipment protection grounding and working grounding.

Reading of lightning protection grounding drawing of building

The method of reading lightning protection engineering drawings can be divided into the following steps.

(1) Identify the types of lightning strikes, lightning protection levels, and lightning protection measures for buildings.

(2) After the method of lightning protection is determined, analyze the installation method of the lightning protection belt of the building, the path of the down conductor, and the connection method of the end.

(3) Materials, dimensions and models used in lightning protection devices.

Taking the lightning protection design of a residential building as an example, we analyze the basic methods of building lightning protection engineering maps. Figure 4-13 is a lightning protection plan and a perspective view of a building residential building. It can be seen from the figure that the building is protected against direct lightning by using a roofing daughter wall to lay a lightning protection belt. The protruding part of the top of the building is also laid with a lightning protection belt and connected with the lightning protection belt on the roof. This project uses 25×4 galvanized flat steel as the horizontal grounding body, which is laid around the building one week, and its grounding resistance is not more than 10Ω.
